At Nathan Hale-Ray High School, the English Language Arts program provides a comprehensive, student-centered curriculum that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and communication. The department offers a progression of core courses from Sophomore to Senior English, each with both standard and accelerated (ACC) options to meet the diverse academic needs and aspirations of students. Advanced students have the opportunity to enroll in AP English Language & Composition and AP English Literature & Composition, college-level courses that challenge students to engage deeply with complex texts and articulate sophisticated arguments through written and spoken word.
